Nutt House Hotel

Our room, with tax, came to around $325 per night. High expectations were in place for this kind of money. Alas, the room was non-descript and a bit small but nicely appointed. There is no 'in-person' check-in as everything is done via email and text, which is fine, but again for this kind of money, I would have expected more. No real complaints other than the cost does not represent the experience. Not a good value for the money. On the plus side, the location was A+.

What a gem we discovered staying at The Nutt House in Granbury TX. The room was immaculate. We loved the outdoor balcony sitting area as well that overlooks the town square. The restaurant below was outstanding in both food and service. It was a very nice retreat from our regular routine and look forward to our next stay.

We enjoyed our Nutt House stay immensely! It is clear a generous amount of consideration and planning went into the post-fire renovations. Décor and amenities were very well done, and we felt super welcome and quite comfortable during our stay. The convenient common area provided a coffee bar with nice selection of coffees and teas, filtered drinking water, a generous supply of coffee cups and small drink glasses, and a communal minifridge. There were a couple other thoughtful items tucked in a drawer, but we’ll leave those for you to discover. The common access balcony offered a peaceful retreat with a unique view of the square and some very comfy patio furniture. On the ground floor, the staff and food & drink at Christina’s American Table were amazing. We shared a delicious dinner one evening and we loved the quiet, almost private, brunch available for hotel guests only beginning an hour before they open to the public on Sat. & Sun. mornings. Our one minor disappointment was in the shower. Every couple of minutes the pressure would drop drastically, and as it would gradually build back the temperature also cycled down and up. The roomy shower made it possible to step away while the water was cooler, so it didn’t completely ruin the moment, but it did add some time to the process.

The room was beautiful and very clean. We loved the rooftop balcony with a view of the square and the coffee bar. Downstairs was the most wonderful restaurant, Christina’s American Table. The convenience of the locational was unparalleled. Everything was so easy and relaxing!

What a cool place to stay!! It's located on the quiet part of Granbury's town square. (Trust me, I've stayed on the Houston/Pearl side and it was SO loud.) We didn't hear any street noises from our room. The bed and the pillows were so comfortable. (Pillows can make or break a good night's sleep IMO.) It's very well-appointed. The renovation of this historic building was so well done. Quality construction and design/decor. Everything you need, from coffee to amazing smelling lotion was provided. You check in like you would an Airbnb, but also Kenneth was there during the day on the weekends to make sure you had everything you need. There was also staff restocking the coffee bar and cleaning rooms who were totally sweet and helpful. I loved sitting on the deck overlooking the square. Cristina's American Table is located on the first floor. Awesome vibe and food - BUT - it's not associated with the hotel. It's a separate business. There are people leaving reviews for the hotel based on their experience at the restaurant, haha. We walked everywhere - The Nutt House was the perfect home base. I very highly recommend staying there!

The Nutt House is the oldest building on the square in Granbury, and it truly holds a special place in the town’s history. I’ve stayed here both before and after the renovation following the fire, and while the updates have certainly made it beautiful, I can’t help but miss some of the original historic charm it once had. The newly renovated rooms are lovely and very clean. They do feel a little smaller than I remember, but the bathrooms are especially nice — roomy, updated, and very well done. One of my favorite features remains the balcony out front. Sitting there and watching everyone on the square is such a relaxing and quintessential Granbury experience. Check-in and check-out were simple and seamless. A young man greeted us at the elevator, showed us to our room, and gave us a brief tour of the hotel. Everything else was handled online and through text messages, which made the process very convenient. One downside was the noise. The walls seem paper-thin, and we could hear everything happening downstairs in the restaurant until about 11 p.m. If you’re a light sleeper, that’s something to keep in mind. The location is perfect — just a short walk to the beautiful Granbury Opera House, which makes it ideal for an evening show and an easy stroll back to your room. Overall, it’s a nice stay in a prime location, and the renovation is beautifully done. Still, I do miss the old, original historic Nutt House atmosphere that made it feel so uniquely special.

The Nutt House Hotel is the perfect location for a fun weekend stay in downtown Granbury. Excellent service and fabulous rooms await! Highly recommend. We can't wait to go back!

The entire experience was wonderful! We had a lovely room with a fantastic bathroom. We enjoyed the views from the balcony. We enjoyed a great meal downstairs at Kristina’s as well as dessert & coffee from room service later. We will definitely return. It was a perfect Valentine's/ birthday celebration!
